As we were mentioning a bit earlier, the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG is currently waiting for its first true direct competitors, but that sure ins't stopping some automotive publications to pit the smallest AMG against the nearest premium hot hatches they can find.
This time it's CAR's time to compare the A 45 AMG with the usual BMW M135im only that they've also thrown it the Audi S3.
Predictably, the AMG massaged A-Class pretty much mopped with floor with the two, but this was mainly because they weren't designed to be its competitors in the first place.
The 1-Series is all fun and games, but it's only an M-Performance, not a true Motorsport Technik model, while the Audi S3 is just the A3 you buy when you don't have enough money or are too scared to buy the RS version.
Obviously, we can't blame CAR for this situation, since BMW themselves decided not to offer a true M-version of the 1-Series, while the new Audi RS3 is yet to be launched. Either way, it's a fun to read comparison test, so we suggest you go ahead and read it.
