The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is one little special hot hatch. When talking about sheer power and torque, the turbocharged 2-liter four pot under that hood with no hydraulic raisers is number one on the planet.
No less than 360 horsepower and 450 Nm (332 lb ft) are squeezed from the rather small powerplant, making it currrently the most powerful production four cylinder in the world and the engine with the most hp per liter.

Helped by a lightning fast seven-speed dual clutch transmission with a launch control function and an AMG-tuned 4Matic all-wheel drive system, the feisty little hot hatch can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standing start in just 4.6 seconds, on to an electronically-limited tops speed of 250 km/h (155mph).

Even though the “regular” top speed limiter might have trouble engaging, for a few extra cash you can have a 270 km/h (168 mph) one instead.

Remember the “normal” A45 AMG test drive by Vadim Auto we showed you a few days ago? No? Well, now its time to enjoy the A45 AMG Edition 1 model being driven on a racing track in Germany, with driving impressions by the same Vadim Ovsiankin tagged on top of the footage.
