Some people can’t be bothered to take their shopping carts back to the coral when they’re done with them even when it’s sunny, but this is clearly not the case here.
One woman from Hurricane, West Virginia, has been caught on camera braving a violent storm and downpour, just so she could return her shopping cart. The fact that she was alone and older than 50 also earned her massive points with the Internet crowd.

Captured on camera by another shopper, from the safety of their car, the video shows the elderly driver place her groceries in the trunk before braving the rain and the wind to take the cart back. She even leaves her trunk open in her rush to get the job done, which means her stuff was soaked throughout by the time she got back.

Once she places the cart in the corral, she heads back to the car, closes the trunk and gets behind the wheel. Commenters praising her for her correctness are also sending her good wishes, hoping she got home safe after what must have been a dangerous ride.

If you look closely, in the video at the bottom of the page, you can actually see the Stop sign in the parking lot flipping in the wind. This was no regular summer rain, it was a violent storm, with strong winds and heavy rain, so kudos to the woman for braving the elements to do the right thing.

“A crazy freak storm blew in as this seventy year old lady put her groceries in her car and calmly put her buggy in the cart corral,” the caption to the video reads. “This was ironically in Hurricane West Virginia. It was equivalent to a category one hurricane. She got soaked and earned my respect!”

She also earned the respect of most viewers, even those who can’t understand why on earth she’d leave her trunk open on a weather like this, even for a few seconds more than it needed to be.
