The annual RDA Workshop in Cologne is apparently the leading trade show for the coach travel and tourism sector in Germany.
This year, no less than 43 bus operators across Germany and Austria submitted photos featuring the designs of their fleet vehicles so they could be rated on the “Busplaner” magazine stand at the RDA Workshop.
After the voting ended, the first three places went to Setra bus and coach operators, with an S 416 GT-HD from the Setra ComfortClass 400 winning the overall “Most Beautiful Bus of 2013” award.
Belonging to coach company owners Heinz and Lieselotte Sprenzel, the Setra bus is decorated with an undersea world design.
The second place went to the Schornig Reisen company with their Konigsklasse (King Class in German) livery applied to a Setra S 515 HP from the recently-launched ComfortClass 500, while bronze was won by the Reiseparadies Kastler Austrian bus operator, whose Setra TopClass 400 touring coach features the famous Grossglockner High Alpine Road.
