Such an idea sounds really crazy, doesn't it? Well, as wacko it may seem to some, the MotoGP-spec Ducati Desmosedici motorcycle exists and even, more, it is available for a ride around the legendary UK circuit at Silverstone, August 30th through September 1st. Read the full story below.
This unique and thrilling experience is brought by Riders for Health, the MotoGP official charity corps. Riders for Health is an award-winning social enterprise whose aim is to provide health workers in Africa with access to reliable motorcycles and ambulances, helping them reach the most remote areas with regular and predictable health care and support.

Rides will be available on all three days of the Silverstone MotoGP event, Friday 30 or Saturday 31 August, and on the race day, Sunday 1 September. Some restrictions apply for booking rides: passengers must be over 18, their weight must not exceed 90 kg (198 lbs) and they must undergo and pass a full medical check.

More details, prices and booking info available from Martyn Cook, reachable at +44 (0)1604 889 574 or via email at [email protected].

Finally, to understand why this is such an amazing, possibly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity... your driver at Silverstone will be the legendary MotoGP rider Randy Mamola.
