A Man Has Been Hit by a Car While Playing Video Games in His Home

Imagine you are playing your favorite video game on a Sunday afternoon and suddenly you discover the first ever 7D game, when a car crashes into your house and hits you. This happened to Ben Rose from Irving, USA, while he was playing Fallout 4.

Luckily, Ben survived the accident but suffered serious injuries, such as a fractured vertebra and a sliced Achilles tendon. According to him, everything could have been much worse if he hadn't been sitting in his specially designed gaming chair, which absorbed the impact and pushed him out of the way.

After the police investigated the accident, it resulted that the driver accidentally pushed the accelerator instead of the brake pedal when she was trying to pull out of a parking space. According to CBS, no charges will be filed against the driver.

Unfortunately, the woman did not have insurance, so now, Rose must pay for everything. He reckons this will be very hard for him because it’s almost two months’ salary, and it’s an extra bummer since he was already trying to live from paycheck to paycheck.

Although at first nobody believed him and asked him how could that be possible, after seeing everything was actually true, his friends started helping him through an online fundraiser. Although his road to full recovery will be a very long one, he is happy that he is alive. So far, the online fundraiser only reached a third of its funding goal.

There have been a lot of incidents where people got hit by cars while walking on the street and playing video games on their smartphones, but probably this is the first one when a man gets hit by a car while playing video games inside his own house.

This unfortunate accident will be the story of his life for sure, and he might just consider redesigning his home’s interior to be much safer when playing his favorite game.
