Searching the web for unique BMWs we stumbled upon this hidden jewel. Not only is this car impressive, but it is also for sale, on Craigslist.
The ad says that this 1992 E36 has been heavily modified, hence the price of $12,900. For the BMW fans, the LS1 engine probably doesn't say much, so the owner decided to clarify some things about his car.

At first the 3er had a stock 325i engine but, because nobody buys BMWs for their limits, he decided to replace the 2.5-liter petrol engine with a Camaro LS1 5.7-liter V8 along with the 6-speed transmission.

However, that is not where this Bimmer fanatic stopped. He also changed: the intake (with a 3" diameter one and K&N filter), TechRods custom wiring harness, stage 3 clutch, Spec flywheel, Arp Flywheel bolts, ECU remapping, new oil pan and gaskets, ceramic coated hooker headers, Borla XR1 muffler and so on.

The list goes on for about a full page and it is compelling. The interior looks good, the engine has 104,000 miles while the chassis has travelled 174,000. It may not be as nice as a new car, but it is definitely an extremely rare car that "has the epic handling of a BMW along with the power of the LS1," in the words of the seller himself.
