Deer Saved from a Muddy Death by an Excavator Will Put a Smile on Your Face

OK, so we've already seen earlier today how heavy construction equipment can be used the wrong way. Now it's time for the exact opposite, only it still won't have anything to do with construction.
We've seen clips like these on TV where wild animals manage to get themselves into very strange situations, and some humans with big hearts do their best to free them. However different these clips might be, almost all of them have something in common: the place or situation in which the animals are stuck has something to do with the human intervention on their habitat.

This one appears to fall in line with that observation as well. At first, it would appear that a young, inexperienced deer ended up in a large pool of soft mud out of pure carelessness. As the image pans out, it becomes obvious that this site was the subject of massive deforestation, which is probably also what turned the ground into a veritable mud trap when heavy rain fell.

The young deer - which we'll inevitably call "Bambi" - is almost perfectly camouflaged into that pile of mud, but the excavator operator knows what he's doing. He first makes room around the trapped animal by pulling the mud around it away.

Then, he carefully positions the equipment's bucket just behind Bambi, and gently scoops it up together with some clay. The deer is just too tired to even try to run away from the machine, but it's not as if it would have had any chance of succeeding anyway.

One short travel over a pool of muddy water later and Bambi is gently deployed on hard ground. Slowly, it emerges from the brown mushy stuff and, a little hesitant, it starts to head back into the forest, probably thinking about the very long nap it's going to take. Hopefully, while its mother licks its pelt clean.
