A Closer Look at the Hyundai Genesis

The technical details for the Hyundai Genesis, the 2010 model, have just been released and it's actually not half bad, but then again, the Genesis is considered to be one of the top of the line models for Hyundai. But let's see what the Korean manufacturer has got for us.

The first variant, the GT will be available with a 3.8 V6 engine that puts out 310 hp and comes fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox. Some of the features on this car include power-adjustable seats (also heated), navigation system, a 360-watt stereo with 10 speakers system, Smart Key, push-start button, Xenon HIDs, HomeLink with compass, heated mirrors and a sunroof.

The other variant available in this package is the Track model that doesn't have the chrome accents on the front fascia, but gets black leather seats, 19-inch wheels with Bridgestone tires, 13.4-inch front brakes with 4-piston calipers. You'll also get a Torsen limited slip differential, a rear sway bar and higher-rate coil springs and shocks.

The Genesis Coupe runs on a 2.0 turbocharged engine with 220 hp. It's fitted with 18-inch wheels and brakes with single-piston floating calipers. The MacPherson suspension is complemented by a strut brace and front and rear sway bars. It also has keyless entry system, six-speed audio system with USB port, steering wheel controls, cruise control and Bluetooth integration.

The track model also is equipped with the 19-inch wheels, with the same Bridgestone tires as the V6 model, HID Xenon headlamps, limited-slip differential, rear and front sway bars, Brembo brakes and a sportier suspension that has stiffer shocks and springs.
