This year seems to rain with awards for certain Mercedes-Benz models, with almost every car in the current lineup having received at least one since 2014 started.
Readers of the German Auto Bild Allrad all-wheel-drive magazine recently chose no less than three Mercedes-Benz models as winners in three different categories from a reader's poll conducted in Germany.

Winner of the “All-wheel-drive cars up to 40,000 euros” category was none other than the Mercedes-Benz A-Class W176, which has no less than four different engines in the lineup that can be paired either in standard or optionally with 4Matic all-wheel drive.

The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA X156 won the “ATVs and SUVs from 25,000 to 40,000 euros” category, with the compact crossover/SUV having 4Matic all-wheel drive on almost every engine in its lineup.

According to the magazine reader's poll, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 was the rather surprising winner of the “All-wheel-drive cars over 40,000 euros” category, despite the fact that we are talking about a luxury sedan and not a hardcore off-road model such as the G-Class.

The Mercedes-Benz trio was chosen out of no less than 175 all-wheel drive models spread around ten different categories, with the Auto Bild Allrad readers having to vote in an online poll that was held from January 9th to February 7th 2014.

Despite the somewhat odd choices, you should keep in mind that all three aforementioned models can come either in standard or optionally with 4Matic all-wheel drive, a technology which seems to get more and more followers somewhere at the people in charge of Mercedes-Benz.
