In case you thought that the new Star Bolt was not cool enough for you, here's some nifty news from the Chappell Customs' camp: they've finished their own bespoke modding kit for this bike and it looks absolutely smashing.
What even cooler is the fact that all the modifications to your stock 2014 Star Bolt only need minimal hacking, sawing and welding work. The Chappell Customs parts will soon be available as a kit, so please check with their website for the big news, and technically, you could have your fresh-looking Bolt ready over the weekend.
With most of the parts being simply bolt-on and a direct replacement for the OEM ones, you can figure out for yourselves how easy this modding operation is. The hardest things are sawing off the rear frame and welding two brackets to the main chassis: the rest is just torque wrench work.
The dual rear shocks went away and have been replaced by a single absorber linked to a custom swingarm additional part easy to install. Finally the ABS chin can be strapped in place with zip ties, in case you don't want to use screws. Easy to paint in matching colors, too.
With this bike modding solution being sanctioned by Star Motorcycles, it's easy to understand that these guys have done atop-drawer job. CNC provided by Dekker Designs, shock assembly courtesy of Works Performance, JP Custom Seats for the new saddle, and Glam Rock Cycles for plasma cutting. Sweet, sweet, sweet!
