The word has always been conflicted about calling the Porsche 911 Turbo a supercar. It’s got a couple of (tiny) seats in the back, room for a couple of shopping bags up front and the engine in the back.
Yet there can be no denying that the Germans have methodically and very carefully produced one awesome car. This particular 911 Turbo is very “super” though, as it managed to pull off a top speed of 212 mpg (341,18 km/h) at the March 2012 Texas Mile event.
We haven’t been able to find any specific output figures for the car, but since it can also run the 1/4 mile in the mid 10s (10.61 seconds actually), it should have been tuned to about 600 hp. Despite this, it still needed to be duct taped up to make it more aerodynamical in order to reach this blistering speed. But you have to consider this is the sort of top speed a Lamborghini Aventador reaches.
