900 HP Supercharged Viper Coming in 2016 via Arrow Racing Engines and The Viper Exchange

A few months before Fiat-Chrysler made the 2015 Dodge Viper happen, word on the street was that supercharging would be employed to hike the V10 lump to over 700 horsepower. As a brief reminder, the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 of the Hellcat brothers wasn’t a viable solution because it would not fit in the engine bay of America’s finest supercar.

Fast-forward to the present day and here we are in the presence of a fully operational Conner Avenue Assembly plant and a production line that’s full of the 2015 Dodge Viper. It is a way different picture than last year’s demand crisis, mainly because the FCA decided to slash the sticker to $84,995 and to bump the 2015 model year’s output to 645 ponies.

After the previously mentioned solutions were put into effect, the heated debate about supercharging the Viper went all lukewarm. Happily for those that expected Fiat-Chrysler to force feed the aggressive snake, there’s not a semi-factory option available to purchase at the largest Viper dealership in the US.

We’re referring to the one and only The Viper Exchange, which is located at 23777 Tomball Parkway in the Harris County of the Lone Star State. Let me cut to the chase: this supercharged Viper package isn’t all factory specification, but Fiat-Chrysler gave permission to Arrow Racing Engines to reflash the car’s PCM (powertrain control module) software in order to get the most out of that Viper supercharging package.

Three packages are available, all of them intended for “off-road use”

The Stage 1 is just a PCM mod that adds anything between 20 to 25 HP to the V10 motor. Moving on to the Stage 2 package, that adds new heads and fixed cams for an estimated 733 rampaging horsepower.

This bit of kit deletes the VVT camshaft and others. Finally, the Stage 3 pack: dubbed “Sledgehammer”, this bad boy adds a 4.3-liter blower running 6 psi of boost, a contraption that squeezes around 250 HP and 200 lb-ft (271 Nm) extra out of the 645 HP and 600 lb-ft (813 Nm) 8.4-liter vee-ten tower-of-power.

Well then, the 2013 to 2015 Dodge Viper can churn out approximately 895 horsepower and a meaty 800 lb-ft (1,084 Nm) of torque all thanks to the combined efforts of The Viper Exchange and Arrow Racing Engines. No information on pricing is available right now, except for the $1,100 Stage 1 package, but do check the photo gallery below to find out more about the three packages and all of their contents.
