While some aficionados can't wait for the 992 incarnation of the Porsche 911 Turbo to show up so they can adorn their garage with one, others prefer to take their 991s to new heights. And we're here to talk about an example of the latter, with this having recently hit the Nurburgring.
Ladies and gentlemen drivers, we're looking at a 991.1-generation Porsche 911 Turbo that has been given what can be labeled as a family makeover.
For one thing, the Zuffenhausen machine now packs a generous roof box that allows the occupants to travel around with all the stuff they need.
Then there's the fact that, like any good family car, this Neunelfer gets to spend plent of miles on the road - the odometer currently reads 119,000 km (make that 74,000 miles).
Of course, the go-fast side of the machine has also been accentuated. Heck, the process kicked off when the supercars was ordered, as, for instance, the owner went for the optional centerlock wheels, as well as those banana-colored calipers (these signal the presence of Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes).
Oh, and let's not forget that massive wing adorning the posterior of the beast, which seems to have been lifted off a GT3 RS. "What about the front apron?" I hear you asking. Well, this comes from a 991.2 GT3.
The firepower department hasn't been neglected either. That's because the twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six animating the machine has been gifted with an Esmotor 850 package. The trip to gym means the boxer mill now allows the driver to play with around 800 ponies at the wheels, which makes for a crank output of over 900 hp.
