It was about time somebody gave a Hellcat some catnip and this is the reason for which we are here. The supercharged Challenger in the video below no longer delivers the 707 hp SRT intended it to and that's because it runs on nitrous.
The Hellcat was abducted by the crew over at High Horse Performance, who wanted to do something different. They installed a respectable list of mods, with a 150 shot of nitrous leading the performance mods. The dream reservoir was placed in the trunk, at least for now.

In fact, here are all the upgrades the blown 6.2-liter engine has received:
  • American Racing Headers complete exhaust system
  • AFE Momentum CAI
  • ATI 10% OD Crank Damper
  • Custom Diablosport CMR Tuning By HHP/HEMITUNER
  • Nitrous Outlet wet kit with 150 shot
  • Tuned on VP Race Fuels Q16

The custom Hellcat was strapped to a dyno and it actually managed to climb a bit past the 900 hp point. As for the torque, the traditional balanced output figures were kept, so we are talking about a massive 930 lb-ft (Nm). Let's hope that tranny can take it.

While a stock Challenger Hellcat is vocal enough, this one roars like some sort of muscle car king.

Sure, we love to see it flexing its muscles on a dyno, but we hope to see this demonic kitten at work on the drag strip soon. We promise we'll keep an eye out for it, so we can come back with racing delicacies for you, if these ever show up.

Yes, on most occasions, meddling with a Hellcat isn't worth it, since the whole point of the car is that the monstrous output is wraped in a factory package. Nevertheless, people will always want more, so we're curious how long it takes until somebody breaks the 1,000 whp barrier.
