The muscle car realm is enjoying serious aftermarket attention these days, with four-digit machines appearing quite often (here's the most recent example of the sort, namely a Dodge Demon that Hennessey pushed past 1,200 hp). Then again, there's an important question here - how much power does it take to beat a supercar? In today's answer, we show you how a 900 hp Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 deals with a McLaren 570S, with the Woking animal having also received a bit of attention.
The British beast and the slab of America got together on the street, with their drivers turning to the usual rolling start tricks - standing takeoffs are more disruptive for traffic, so most street racers avoid them.

The rolling starts brought an advantage for the Camaro, since supercars have an easier time finding traction off the line.

As it usually happens, the Camaro ZL1 and the Sports Series McLaren battled on multiple occasions, as their drivers were prepared to deliver a relevant conclusion.

When it comes to the mods fitted to these machines, the ZL1 packs a much more serious approach than the 570S. As such, its blown 6.2-liter V8 has been gifted with full bolt-ons, custom cylinder heads and an E85 setup. As a result of all the gym work, the motor now delivers 820 horsepower and 860 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels.

The twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 of the British tool packs catless downpipes supplied by Kooks, an AWE x-pipe, as well as as DME Stage 2 ECU remap that makes the most out of the exhaust upgrades. The Brit now delivers over 600 hp at the crank.

You'll notice that the owner of the McLaren, who is also the YouTuber behind this stunt, talks about having raced a twin-turbo S550 Mustang. Well, here's the said sprinting battle, in case you missed it.

P.S.: You can jump to the 8:35 point of the video for the racing action.
