Who said you can’t have a great weekend full of adventure when you’re just a kid? It definitely was so for this 9-year old boy who stole a city bus in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, on Saturday morning and took it on a three-block joyride. Happily nobody was injured, but it would seem the kid might have had a bit too much of Tayo the Little Bus cartoons.
The boy still wearing pajamas probably didn’t realize what he was doing the moment he climbed into the bus and took it for a spin. Problem is, the vehicle sitting at the garage had its motor running and that is because the maintenance worker left it like that. According to Huffington Post, even though the bus bumped into a truck and another city bus, the vehicle somehow came to a stop and nobody was hurt.

Considering the age, the boy will not face any charges, but his parents might ground him with several days. And this leads up to yet another question: we’re wondering if the kid got the idea of driving the bus while watching a TV show of some kind. Tayo the Little Bus would be a good example.

Wait, what did you say? You don’t know Tayo? Noooo, that can’t be possible. It’s a South Korean computer-generated animated television series created by Educational Broadcasting System, Iconix Entertainment and Seoul. Tayo is a playful blue bus and can sometimes be mischievous. Rings a bell? Well, maybe we’re just getting the creative part a bit to far.
