887 HP Porsche 918 Spyder Sounds Awesome at the Nurburgring

Even though Lexus puts a really nice artificial sound in its electrified models, hybrids are mostly annoying to listen to, like glorified vacuum cleaners on wheels. Not this one!

The Porsche 918 Spyder is like the worst kept secret ever. Even though a recent press release says it will be "unveiled" next week in Frankfurt, they've shown it at every major motoring even in the world already.

The 918 is not a Prius in the body of a sportscar. It's something they put together with racing technology. Huge demands are placed on the 4.6-liter V8, similar to the ones on racing engines, but with the reliability of a regular car.

This video shot by monsterchannel24 recently shows how the supercar is still testing at the Nurburgring, not being 100% ready for assembly yet. Until Porsche gives us more footage in Frankfurt, here's what to look out for:
