Remember the time when the 991.2-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S took the world by storm after becoming the world's quickest-acceleration car in a 0-50 mph test conducted by Motor Trend? Well, these sprinting skills apparently aren't enough for certain owners, who choose to take the Neunelfers down the aftermarket route.
And with the 911 being one of the tuning world's favorite children, the possibilities are virtually endless. Of course, those who still want to use their machines on a daily basis usually avoid reaching into four-figure output territory. After all, the daily driver aura of the rear-engined machine is one of its top assets and it would be a shame to see this being affected.
But how does such a pumped-up Porsche 911 behave when the driver puts the pedal to the metal (actually, it's not metal, but one of those plush carpets the German automotive producer uses).
Well, we've brought along a piece of footage that showcases such a Porscha in action. Unfortunately for the Zuffenhausen toy, its rival is a Mercedes-AMG E63 Coupe that has also been tuned.
And the Affalterbach beast, which is a previous-generation model, now allows its driver to play with 950 horsepower, which places it 100 hp ahead of the Porsche.
Now, those of you who are in a hurry or don't label themselves as Russian speakers, should skip through the video below, with the clip showcasing the two drag racing in the said country.
So while you'll get to see a rolling start drag race at the 6:59 point, a standing start adventure awaits you at the 10:27 point, albeit with the 911 Turbo S refraining from using its legendary Launch Control.
As you'll get to notice, the Merc leaps ahead once the two beasts pass 250 km/h (make that 155 mph). Oh, and did we mention the hostilities take place in the wet?
