850 HP McLaren 675LT Tears up The Dyno, Sounds Like a Tornado

With the McLaren 720S, the Woking automaker has started a new era, one that is populated with even more extreme machines than before. And since Woking introduced the Senna track-savvy toy, we can talk about a fresh family. Given these new development, the 675 Longtrail, which used to be the star of the company's supercar lineup, doesn't get nearly as much attention as it used to.

Well, we're here to address the matter, since the 675LT is an awesome track special and deserves to become headline material.

And the help comes from the aftermarket side of the industry. To be more precise, BBi Autosport has welcomed a 675 as its tech display car.

Zooming in on the machine, we notice that the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 that occupies its middle section has received a turbo upgrade featuring BorgWarner EFR 7163 units and new injectors, along with the obvious ECU remap.

A dyno calibration was required to complete the job, with the delicious result being portrayed in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.

Of course, the numbers for the modded Macca are also in and we can tell you that the supercar now delivers 762 hp and 608 hp at the rear wheels (the figures were achieved on 91 Octane juice) - this also explains our crankshaft output estimation in the title above.

Since the 675 Longtail came to the world as a circuit weapon with license plates, the aftermarket developer also touched another area of the beast, playing with the wheel and tire combo.

As such, the mid-engined delight now rides on Forgeline wheels, which are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Tires.

The clip below also delivers a sample of the McLaren's newfound aural might, even though there's only so much that can be done for the voice of the TT V8 motor of the thing.
