With 755 ponies on tap, you'd expect the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 to be muscular enough for any aficionado. However, there are drivers out there who always seek moaaar powaaah and the aftermarket realm is glad to step in. Case in point with the ZR1 'Vette that brought us here, which features a Hennessey upgrade.
The supercharged 6.2-liter V8 heart of the supercar has been gifted with a lower pulley upgrade, a high-flow air induction system and a custom exhaust setup consisting of long-tube stainless steep headers, stains steel midpipes and high-flow catalytic converters.

As a result of those upgrades, the LT5 motor now delivers 850 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of twist. The Lone Star State specialist estimates that the said gym trip allows the machine to deliver a 2.6s 0-60 mph sprint and a quarter-mile time of 10.3 seconds at 136 mph. However, you should keep in mind these numbers involve drag radials and the prepped surface of a drag strip.

The Texan specialist has released a piece of footage that showcases the pumped-up Chevy doing its thing on the dyno. And, with the help of the said exhaust goodies, the thing sounds like a bat out of hell, so please turn up the volume before you reach for that "play" button below. it's a short clip, but one that will definitely give you the giggles.

Now, some of you might wonder why anybody would bother with tuning their ride for a 100 hp increase. Well, the tuner has an answer for that. Actually, you can make that two answers.

You see, Hennessey actually offers a three-step upgrade program for the C7-gen Corvette ZR1. Having already covered Stage One, we'll mention that the next two take you into four-digit territory.

So you can choose between taking your supercar to 1,000 and even 1,200 ponies. And here's to hoping traction comes your way.
