833 hp CLS63 AMG is One Loud Drag Machine

We can all agree that the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG - or pretty much any eight-cylinder AMG - is one of the best sounding cars you can currently buy.

When you add a few Renntech modifications to one - in order to make its 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 jump to a massive 833 hp and a tire and transmission-torturing 1330 Nm (980 lb ft) of torque, for example - you can guess it becomes even a bit more pleasing to a V8 fan's ears.

The CLS 63 AMG in the following video has received a Renntech turbocharger upgrade for its M157 engine, making it one of the fastest CLS' in the world when it comes to drag races from a roll, which is what it's actually trying to prove in the multiple races featured bellow.

Naturally, neither of its competitors is stock and most of the other cars have much better horsepower to weight ratio plus a bit more traction (in case of the Nissan GTR, for example), but this short film isn't about winning or losing at the drag strip. For example, we can positively say that we were equally excited by the engine sounds alone, without even having to watch the video. Enjoy and don't forget to turn up the volume!
