When you’re 80 and bring a McLaren 650S to car meets, sharing your high-octane experience with other car aficionados, you deserve a cool guy medal. This is exactly what the man in the video below does and since we’re fresh out of medals, we figured we could at least show you the footage.
The guy is kind enough to rev the Mac a little bit when asked by the car spotter capturing the whole shenanigan and the love story between him and the machine is obvious. After all, you don’t grab a one out of only fifty limited edition 650S Le Mans by mistake.

This incarnation of the 650S was built as a nod to the McLaren F1 GTR racecar’s 1995 Le Mans monster win - back then, five examples of the F1 racecar managed to record a monumental victory, grabbing 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 13th place.

Built by McLaren Special Operations, the 650S Le Mans can be instantly recognized thanks to its F1-trademark, roof-mounted snorkel air intake. While this feeds the twin-turbo V8 with all the fresh air it needs, the British engineers explain it also provides extra aural drama inside the supercar. One more reason to rejoice for the driver.

Then again, this is not the only treat of the Woking machine. The supercar rides on Le Mans Edition ultra-light five-spoke wheels measuring 19 inches up front and 20 inches at the rear. Moreover, plenty of carbon fiber details adorn the machine, helping it keep the weight in check.

As for the cabin, the Alcantara lining is mixed with Le Mans logos, while a numbered plaque lets you know where you’re standing.

The guy in the Mac must not be doing too bad in the finance department either. When the 650S Le Mans was launched back in January this year, the company announced a price of GBP244,500, or around $370,000.
