Well, the annual TX2K has ended, but this doesn’t necessarily mean the fun is over. The guys are still racing on the highways in Texas at night, bringing thousands of horsepower on some parts of the road.
Domestic and imports, all are attending the not-so-legal night events and among cars there’s this interesting dark green Toyota Supra that manages to smoke some expensive rides despite its summary mods.
The exterior is stock clean, having only a front lower lip and Mickey Thompson drag radial wheels. The long hood houses the classic 2JZ engine which is said to have stock internals but comes with a Precision 6766 turbocharger, a custom exhaust, big intercooler, maybe bigger cc injectors and a factory built automatic transmission.
It also runs on E85 fuel and total power at those beefy rear wheel is benchmarked at 780 hp. Which is enough to take out some pretty serious opponents as you can see in the video bellow. We wonder how much will those stock internals will hold up at this rate of punishment. We know the internals can work easily with 400 hp or so at the crank, but this one is making 780 at the wheels so the engine does probably more than 800, double the safe zone.
