774 HP Hennessey Mustang Takes on Stock Challenger Hellcat in All-Yellow Drag Race

Do you like the performance of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat but will never give up on the Ford Mustang? Well, there's a supercharged pony out there that will outrun any devilish feline, and it's made by Hennessey.

Just to jog your memory, Hennessey Performance is the company that makes the fastest (unofficial) car in the world. What they did was to take a Lotus chassis, stuff it with a V8 and humiliate the Bugatti Veyron.

So what did they do to the 2015 Ford Mustang GT? Not much, except they turned it into the 2015 Hennessey HPE750. It has more power than the Challenger Hellcat - 774 hp vs. 707 hp - and has been clocked at 207.9 miles per hour.

Ever since this car was launched, the Internet has been demanding that a drag race between the Mustang and the Challenger be organized. Hennessey finally obliged today. With a rolling start from 30 mph, the Stang quickly sets the pace and puts several car lengths between it and the Dodge by the time they reach 165 mph.

The tuners have been working on the Mustang for quite some time now, and we've talked about it on numerous occasions. Essentially, this 2.9-liter supercharger kit takes the Coyote 5.0 vee-8 into the major leagues of performance.

However, this limited edition kit also includes a carbon fiber air induction system, fuel injectors, upgraded fuel pump system. Hennessey will also give you all the necessary gaskets, dyno-tune the engine and install serial plaques and other badging.

There's also a carbon fiber side to the package, one which consists of a front splitter, side skirts, and the rear lip spoiler.

In a straight line, this thing will do 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds and cover the quarter-mile in 10.9 seconds with a trap speed of 133 mph. No wonder the Dodge didn't stand a chance! Still, we like seeing the Pennzoil machine that did the Airfield Drift stunt, even if it gets its butt whopped.
