UPDATE: 750 HP Black Label 2015 Saleen S302 Mustang Revealed in LA , Live Photos

We've said it before and we'll say it again - Saleen certainly loves trolling. After everybody expected their range-topping Black Label 2015 Saleen S302 Ford Mustang to pack 640 hp, the dark pony has now been unveiled with no less than 750 hp.

While Saleen is yet to provide the full specs and images of the Black Label, they've held a debut event on Friday, March 20 in Los Angeles, offering us the footage below just to add more fuel to this high octane fire.

Speaking of high octane, the Black Label 2015 Saleen S302 Ford Mustang sees the Mustang GT's five-oh V8 being gifted with Kenne-Bell twin-screw supercharger - to deliver the aforementioned 750 hp, you need to feed this wild horse with 93-octane gas.

Still, even when running on 91-octane juice, the Black Label delivers 730 hp and 600 lb-ft (813 Nm) of twist, being the most powerful S550-generation Mustang we've seen so far.

It's not difficult to understand why Saleen has pulled these figures. It all has to do with Galpin Auto Sports, which, with the help of Henrik Fisker, aims to bring back the spirit of the 1968 Shelby GT500. The result, which has been keeping the world on its toes for quite a while, is the 725 hp  2015 Ford Mustang Galpin Rocket.

Both incarnations of the 2015 Mustang follow a carbon fiber diet, even though the exact recipe is still unknown for the Saleen.

As you've noticed, both cars featured an elongated bodywork - when you gift a Mustang with that much muscle, you have to make sure the aerodynamics are at supercar levels, with Steve Saleen bragging about how much work has been put into improving the lift over drag (L/D) coefficient.

For Saleen, this meant a one and a half inches nose job, along with a two-inch plastic surgery at the rear of the car. Alas, it seems the new fascia is not for all tastes, while the rear now features light clusters with two elements instead of the traditional three. Oh and in case you're wondering, that is a functional induction hood. Everything is finished in a hue dubbed California Sunset - we have to thank Redditors Gohan_ssj2 and Userbadass for the live pics.

Returning to the tech side of the Black Label 2015 Saleen S302 Mustang, Saleen has happily built on the independent rear suspension base of the S550 'Stang. Thus, the suspension has been heavily tweaked, from shocks and springs to sway bars. A limited slip diff is included in the package.

As for the connection to the road, this is established via a set of Saleen 20-inch wheels shod in Pirelli ruber, which comes in a size of 275/40 R20 at the rear and 275/35 R20 up front. Stopping power is provided by a beefy braking system that features 15-inch rotors and benefits from extra cooling.

Climbing aboard, we find a mix of  Katzkin leather and Alcantara, something to keep you happy during your white-knuckle drives.

We'll remind you Saleen is a special vehicle manufacturer, not a tuner, which means all the models in this Wiskey-named series (Black, Yellow and White Label) receive Saleen VINs.

As for the pricing, at the time this article was written, the Saleen website lists the Black Series at $62,362. Then again, this hasn't been updated with the 750 hp output value. As many of you know, Saleen has been through difficult financial times recently, so the success of its 2015 Mustangs is crucial for the company.

PS: Saleen, together with Galpin Auto Sports, just raised the bar for Ford Performance. The Blue Oval will have to deliver an S550 Shelby GT500 that can deal with these custom 'Stangs. Of course, just like in the case of the Challenger Hellcat, the OEM product will always have the proven reliability and warranty card up its sleeve.

UPDATE: Saleen has issued the press release below, as well as the financial side of this steroid story. As previously announced, there's a $2,015 deposit, but now we know the full bill adds up to $73,214 before options. Despite not releasing press photos, the company has given us what can be classified as an American muscle short film.
