Although many high-performance machines coming out of the Ingolstadt laboratory are instilled with a heavy dose of... subtlety, there’s one combination that might nail the Audi Sport recipe remarkably close to perfection. That would be the stylish RS7 Sportback fastback, a model that snatches the RS6 Avant powerplant and eschews the associated sleeper station wagon jokes.
We’ve recently seen the aforementioned RS6 Avant putting its MHEV powerplant to good use on the German Autobahn, happily going up to more than 189 mph / 305 kph in the process. There wasn’t anything we found lacking when discussing the latest installment of the C8 generation until we stumbled upon its platform sibling featured in the latest videos from the AutoTopNL YouTube channel.

That’s when we realized the RS7 Sportback package was ultimately more complete... with a few not-so-subtle modifications. That’s because the Ingolstadt four-door coupe thoroughbred has been lightly updated to fit better the personality of its owner, an Instagram user from Belgium.

According to the descriptions on the social media accounts of the owner and AutoTopNL, the RS7 has been visually enhanced by Kova Design Customs, a local Belgian shop. As for performance specs, they have been elevated to 750 PS (740 hp) and 1,115 Nm (811 lb-ft) from the stock 600 PS (592 hp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) courtesy of BR Performance.

And that’s not all, because the salt and pepper of this project reside at the back, in the form of a very loud Milltek exhaust system. This is, basically, the reason we’re talking about this red RS7, as the 303 kph (188.27 mph) top speed achieved during the POV ride is actually inferior to the one nailed by the stock RS6 Avant we discussed earlier.

We also loved the glorious sounds it made while thundering up to that velocity, and in the second video embedded below, you can even check out some roaring tunnel madness. On more than one occasion, of course, because the AutoTopNL driver makes sure to give us both standstill and rolling acceleration passes – you can check them out at the 1:50, 2:50, and 3:45 marks.
