Anybody who's been near a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S knows that the high-riding German beast doesn't exactly need improvement. Heck, the thing still holds the Nurburgring SUV record and provides tons of luxury. However, nothing stops tuners in their efforts to improve the Cayenne and Techart has a special place on this map.
The German aftermarket developer introduced its Cayenne-destined Magnum kit back in 2004 and the company has managed to convince over 1,200 customers ever since.
Building on this, Techart has now come up with yet another incremental improvement for its package. The change? An extra 20 ponies for the Turbo S (the Magnum package covers the entire Cayenne line-up).
This means the Techart Magnum Sport's grand total now sits at 720 hp - who knows? Perhaps the tuning house is preparing for the arrival of the Hellcat-animated Jeep Grand Cherokee - speaking of which, here's the latest spy footage of the all-wheel-drive monstrosity. While it's not clear yet whether the Trackhawk incarnation of the Grand Cherokee will get the whole 707 hp enchilada or a smaller output like the Ram Rebel TRX concept, this seems to be the... safest approach.
The tuner announced the horsepower jump on its Facebook page earlier today, while accompanying the updated number with a few photos of a white example - you can find these pics to your right.
In the process of going from 570 hp to the value mentioned above, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S obviously changed its voice. And since no written description can cover the aural abilities of the massaged twin-turbo 4.8-liter V8, we've added a video offering a decibel sample below.
We all know that one guy or girl who deserves the gym freak label and would even have a good laugh about it. Well, we have a feeling this is the perfect car for such a setup.
