It's been a while since Mercedes-Benz explained that, unlike the SLS AMG, the Mercedes-AMG GT would offer a truly wide range of models. And while Affalterbach is working to expand the GT line-up, tuners are glad to help.
Case in point, one of Fab Design's Geneva efforts, namely the Areion Mercedes-AMG GT. This is the kind of tuning project that has to be described starting with its tech side.

The machine starts out in life as a GT S, but the twin-turbo V8 sees its 4.0-liter displacement treated with more generous turbochargers. As a result, we get an output premium that can easily be compared to the overall output of a middle-range hot hatchback.

With numbers such as 700 hp and 756 lb-ft (1,025 Nm) of twist, this is a game-changing approach. A boost of 190 hp and 277 lb-ft (375 Nm) is the kind that takes the Mercedes-AMG GT S from uber-fast to OMG-instead-of-AMG.

While not all Fab Design contraptions we met on the Geneva Floor come with a fortunate appearance change, the Areion takes things far from the standard appearance without crossing the line.

A wide body kit makes this GT S easily recognizable, and it's not just the silhouette that sets the vehicle apart. From the front apron details to that massive rear wing, zooming in on this project will grab one's attention. Unlike most aerodynamic efforts coming from tuners these days, the wing uses a single supporting element. However, this is the kind of less-is-more example.

In the rolling department, we have 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels, with the rims going under the Evolution III name.

In terms of cabin customization, Fab Design is prepared to have a long chat with its customers. The Swiss tuner aims to fulfill their dreams, using all sorts of precious materials in the process.

Wonder how the rear window view feels out there on the road, with the hefty rear wing dominating the scenery and the hefty torque allowing you to get away from whatever sits behind you.
