70-Year-Old Lady Uses this Porsche 918 Spyder as a Daily Driver

Even wondered what you'll be doing when you're 70 - how about using an 870 hp Porsche for whatever plans you may have? This scheme seems to be working out extremely well for a 70-year-old lady in Florida.

Her story showed up on Reddit, with multiple users claiming they've seen her driving her Porsche 918 Spyder in Marco Island. While so far we have no picture of her inside the vehicle, we do get to see her hypercar. In fact, one of the users was so determined to show us the metallic beast that he uploaded... a smartphone pic of his photo camera's screen.

Not only does the woman take the 918 Spyder for a spin from time to time, but she reportedly uses it as her daily driver. This seems to make perfect sense since one of the top assets of the 918 is the fact that it's a Porsche.

This means that, at least for its kind, it is a practical machine. For one thing, it is the only one of the infamous petrol-electric hypercar trio that features all-wheel drive, not that the weather in Florida would require this.

While there are still many teenagers trying to initiate their parents in the occult science of using a tablet, this lady drives around in one of the most technologically advanced machines you can buy without being a racing driver.

This all goes to show that the notion of age is much more abstract than most people think. After all, the lady drives something that's perfectly fit for a fully matured person - what? it's not a Prius, but it's still a hybrid.

Of course, not all 918 Spyder stories are this calm. For instance, last time we talked about Porsche's hypercar, we took you to the German Autobahn. That is where an example of the 918 raced a Koenigsegg Agera R to speeds well north of 200 MPH.
