Did you think that only motorcycles can do a wheelie because automobiles have too much mass over the front wheels? Think again, as even something like a 1973 Volkswagen Pickup truck can stand up if it's given enough power.
You many not be aware of this, but the wheelstander is a time-honored tradition in America, dating back many decades. Vehicles are designed in such a way that they more easily enter a wheelie and special bars keep them from rolling over backwards completely.

This one is called the Chevy Rebellion and belongs to Richard Hutchins. At a recent event in Michigan, the man managed to do the whole 1/4 mile run on just his back wheels.

This achievement would have been impossible without a a 427 cubic inch fuel burning supercharged Chevrolet engine. That's right, this thing doesn't have a small boxer engine, but a gigantic 7-liter.

Chevy Rebellion has been known to race on 2 wheels all the way to the 1000’ mark. The red truck with flames shooting from its stacks is always a crowd pleaser! Of course, with this much power on tap, the truck is faster than most muscle cars even on two wheels.

In fact, if you really want something to think about a 730 horsepower Ferrari F12 supercar recently did a quarter mile in 11.2 seconds, about 2 seconds slower than this steroid-infused Volkswagen pickup truck.

The world record for wheelstanding was set in 2012 with a distance of 2500 feet (about 700 meters) by a PT Cruiser with a similar engine running on ethanol.
