600 HP Hyundai Genesis Coming to SEMA

Since the late 1960s, the automobile aftermarket business has grown considerably, with products in this industry now totaling roughly $30 billion in sales per year only in the United States. The best way for an OEM outfit to showcase its newest lot of afermarket products is, of course, the SEMA show.

The Specialty Equipment Market Association consists of a whopping 6,383 companies worldwide, including a Chicago-based company curiously baptized Toca Marketing Group. Only recently Toca announced it will come to SEMA with what we believe to be the most extreme Hyundai Genesis sedan ever made.

What you can admire in the photograph above is a 2015 model year that's known as the "Steel Phoenix." That cheesy moniker may have been inspired by the paint job or the fire breathing mill hiding under that long, sleek bonnet, but one thing is certain - it's one wicked machine this Toca Signature Edition vehicle, even though it wears an unappealing badge.

The Tau 5L V8 is aided by two Garrett turbochargers which were further engineered by Toca, boosting the Genesis' total output to a beastly 600 horsepower. In addition to that, there's an ARK Performance catback exhaust system there, helping the V8 sing its burble loud and clear. But with great power comes great responsibility some character from a superhero movie once said and this rule applies to tuning too.

That's why an AirRex digital air suspension is helping the big sedan with both comfort and handling, while Toyo rubber has been added to the mix for extra grip and to accommodate 21-inch COR 3-piece wheels. Last but not least, Toca Marketing Group engineers swapped the 2015 Hyundai Genesis' factory brakes for a setup that employs 8-piston front and 6-piston rear rotors made by Neo Motorsport.
