572 HEMI 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Restomod Is a Pro-Built Hulk

You may know it from Fast & Furious as Dom's Charger, but there's more to this classic muscle car than meets the eye. Not only does it look like it’s up to no good; the second generation of the Charger is peak Mopar magic by all accounts.

Popularized by the 1968 movie Bullitt, the Charger R/T 440 chased by Steve McQueen in his ‘Stang helped Dodge sell more of them to the detriment of ponies and other muscly boys. The 1970 model in the photo gallery, however, is a little bit more special thanks to pro-built mods that kick off with a 572 HEMI engine.

That’s 9.3 liters if you were wondering, more than any big-block leviathans of that era and more powerful than the oft-mentioned 426 HEMI. “Enhanced and fortified” according to Streetside Classics, the gargantuan motor features Stage V heads, Eagle rods and pistons, a hi-rise intake, and dual FiTech fuel injection modules. All of this fury is kept in check by a five-speed manual with a pistol-grip shifter and a limited-slip rear end with a four-link suspension setup and adjustable coilovers.

Tubular control arms take care of the front axle, along with drilled and slotted disc brakes on all four wheels. The one-of-a-kind restomod with a custom hood scoop and the HEMI callout on top is finished in a shade of bold green from House of Kolors. The chromework of the donor vehicle has been painted black for maximum visual effect, complementing the 10-spoke black wheels with polished outer lips.

Like the exterior and the engine bay, the cabin brings the point home with bolstered buckets from Mopar, black leather upholstery with green stitching, the green center console and carbon fiber-like inserts, and the sports steering wheel. The upgraded stereo may feature a USB input for MP3s, but who cares about music when you have a V8 willing to sing the song of its people at the tap of the loud pedal?

The one-of-a-kind Charger still hasn't sold since we've originally reported about it two weeks ago, which gets us to the price tag. Does $109,995 sound like a lot of money given the aforementioned mods and 1,710 miles (2,752 kilometers) on the odometer?
