The BMW M2 is the kind of car that writes history in Geneva, but tuners such as Ac Schnitzer have no time for playing the historian. Instead, the German modding specialist has delivered an M235i that can easily one-up the M Division's 2-Series in terms of performance.
In the 3.0-liter turbo straight-six play BMW has introduced under the hood of its fast models, this M235i skips the M2-level output, seriously upping the ante on the power front.

Not only does this AC Schnitzer pack an M3/M4 powerplant but it also dials things all the way to 570 HP. To put things differently, we're dealing with a car that was once a product of the M Performance range and can now rival the M6 in terms of output.

Despite the serious tech mods the extra power requires, this isn't the kind of obvious purchase dictated by performance. That's because the visual side of the project easily acts as an opinion splitter.

We could focus on the comprehensive body kit, which could make one believe the ACL2 is an effort destined for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM). And yet that's not possible, since the paint job isn't the kind you can easily go by.

While the Army Green hue of the body suits many people's tastes, the red accents on the wheels spell "controversy." And when we're dealing with massive 20-inch units, we can't ignore these rims. Oh, and let's not forget the generously-sized carbon fiber wing at the back, which seems incredibly efficient in communicating its downforce-generating purpose.

Stepping inside the ACL2, we find a track-friendly atmosphere. Most of the credit for that goes to the bucket accommodation for the front occupants, while a rear seat delete takes care of the rest.

The green accents on the seats, as well as the eye-catching steering wheel, make sure things stray far from the beaten path. Introverts should take caution when surfing the live photo gallery below.
