Andretti Autosport and Volkswagen of America have partnered to form the Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross team, which will be running two cars this year’s series with Tanner Foust and Scott Speed behind the steering wheel.
The team will initially compete with a couple of modified Polo rally cars and will switch during the season to the brand new GRC Beetle, a 560+ hp car specifically developed for the Global Rallycross series. The fearsome Beetle will debut at the Summer X Games in Austin, Texas, in June.

"I’m thrilled to be entering the series, and especially happy about teaming with Volkswagen. We are excited about our driver lineup of Tanner Foust and Scott Speed; I believe we have the best drivers in the series and will be a top contender,” said Michael Andretti, CEO of Andretti Autosport.
