Over the years, we have seen a lot of automotive-related stuff getting turned into art. Some have decided to spec their living room with entire cars, others have opted for the engine table here and there, while a few even like to dwell on the back half of a car that was chopped and turned into a sofa. They’re all so yesterday compared to this rad, fire-breathing engine block table.
Or should we say live marshmallow barbeque? That’s one option we just came up with from the back of our minds when thinking about the use scenarios for this thing. Hopefully, no one will think of getting this as a chimney replacement for cold winter days in the log cabin they have up in the mountains, though.

Anyways, what we have here is just one of the interesting products / works of art stemming from the imagination of the people behind Alaris Invent, a venue that specializes in “custom high end home furnishings and art,” according to their own description.

Among the many interesting products – which also include things such as a $1,200 regular V8 engine block table (it can serve double duty as a liquor bar) or a $800 Viper SRT10 camshaft lamp – we immediately noticed the end block fire pit tables category.

It’s pretty obvious why this series gets the spotlight, right? According to our memory, it’s the first time we see an engine table with an integrated fire pit in the middle of the darn thing! After staring at it for more than a few moments and collecting our jaws from the floor, we tried to find a little more information.

According to the video demonstration (embedded below) these custom tables take a great deal of work to complete and can easily reference any car model of choice (the Viper, for example). Each table is naturally custom built and although it comes with a $5,500 price tag the end result can heavily influence the final figure.

Better yet, any paintjob, style or engine block choice can become a reality and the fire pit table also comes with its own car ignition-style flame igniter as well as a working gas foot pedal!
