Can-Am Spyders are already a head-turning presence, but this is definitely not enough for some riders, and here’s where the C&S Custom guys come in. While their former 360mm (14”) rear wheel was pretty crazy as it was, here’s their all-new offer, the 500-wide (19.7") hotrod kit.
The 500 kit also comprises low-profile tires mounted on 20x17 rims, while the front wheels are 20x8 ones, compared to the rear 18x14 and front 18x8 the 360 kit had. The tires C&S Custom supplies are radial, street-use ones, with increased longevity and truly dependable, the modder says. A full, comprehensive line of custom rims are also available for both versions of the wide tire kits.
C&S Custom’s kits are delivered complete with three rims of choice, the corresponding tires, front and rear sprockets and a new chain for the new swingarm. The latter can be ordered in a multitude of variations, from classic chrome to custom painting, with engraving and powder coating. Further enhancements can be added to your Can-Am Spyder in the shape of air-assisted suspensions, a nitrous bottle bracket or Voodoo exhausts.
The components of this kit are machined to perfection, and will match flawlessly to the Can-Am platform. Specialized professionals are recommended for the installation, while consumers with good mechanical skills could complete the conversion over the weekend, C&S Custom General manager Charlie Michael says.
