We’re not gone go through all of the changes here, but we will tell you what makes this car special to own. So let’s get going.

Sleeper - First thing you need to know is that the element of surprise is the best weapon ever, and the IS F is just a wolf in a sheep’s skin (yeah, we hate this stereotype too), making it one of the best sleeper cars you can get from a dealership with 0 miles on the clock. Apart from some extra vents, quad stacked exhausts and fancier rims, the IS F looks like a simple, traditional sedan.

Engine - And that’s because it’s powered by a hell spawn 5-liter V8 engine making 416 hp and 371 lb-ft of torque. This means that the 0 to 60 is done in a mere 4.7 seconds which is close to Corvette grade sportscars and inline with competitors like BMW M3, making an appealing alternative to them at a lower price.

Racing underpinnings - The big growling V8 under the IS F’s hood is not the only thing that makes it so hardcore. The powerplant is linked to an eight-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission, which is about the same one as on the IS F CCS-R used for Pikes Peak, which sends the power to the rear wheels via a Torsen LSD. It is also fitted with independent double-wishbone (front) and multilink suspension (rear) which will make it go like stink around the bends.

Luxury - Despite the fact you can take your IS F and do the Nurburgring in 8 minutes 18 seconds or less (less than some Lotuses, Cayman S, BMWs and Evos) the sedan comes with a very nice interior, slightly updated for 2014 to make it a more desirable place to be. It has a slightly reshaped dash, new color combinations, fine leather upholstery and trimmings, a powerful audio system with multiple connectivity, infotainment system, automatic headlamps, smart access, cruise control and even an RC F-inspired instrument panel.

Bulletproof - Being a Toyota product after all, the IS F comes with the same reliability standards as one of its other undying road “appliances”. There are a lot of owners reporting on different forums to have cracked more than 50,000 miles with the car feeling the same and having no troubles at all.

So if you’re a bit oldschool-hearted and in look for a proper sleeper, the 2014 IS F might be the one you’re looking for. Not shouty in its appearance, but wait to get behind the wheel and push the magic button.
