Nissan celebrated 45 years of GT-R madness back in 2014 when it launched the Anniversary model originally in Japan. Back then we were telling you all about it but it took a couple more months for the rare model to make it stateside. Now it has arrived and we have a price for it: $101,770.
Now that might be disappointing a little, considering how the GT-R rose to fame, offering incredible performance at a slice of the price others were asking for. Even so, let’s take a look at what all that money brings to the table.

The car will be wearing a special paint job dubbed Silica Brass, the same used for the R34 Skyline M-Spec model from 2001. If that might not be enticing enough, you might want to know that only 45 of these things will ever be built. Hmm, interest rising, right?

The thing is, there are three versions of it that will be put up for sale. The $101,770 price tag applies only for the Base Premium version while the Black Edition will ask $111,510 prices going up to $149,990 for the hardcore, NISMO version. Yeah, that’s Porsche territory right there...

As far as the engine output goes, the base models get a 5 HP bump to 550 HP in total, thanks to a revised ECU map but the torque figure remains the same at 463 lb-ft (628 Nm) of torque. On the other hand, the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 gets the same amount of power on the Black Edition and NISMO versions.

What does that mean? Well, you get to enjoy 600 HP and 481 lb-ft (652 Nm) of torque that we’ve all grown to like over the years and accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 3 seconds thanks to those marvelous electronics under the bonnet.

According to Nissan, under 30 units of this special version will make it to the US by the end of 2015 and all of them will be featuring stuff like 20” alloy wheels and the aforementioned color that costs $1,000 on the premium model. Now check your account balance and see what you can afford.
