The 2017 model bikes were being transported from the docks in a truck to the manufacturer’s warehouse located in the Midlands, on the way to reaching dealerships across the United Kingdom soon, but part of them got stolen in that night, sometime between 18:00 and 05:00.

It was the driver who noticed the theft as he returned to this truck at 5 am on October 26 and discovered both the seal and the container lock removed. The thieves managed to steal only the small 12.5 Eco and 12.5 R models as they were easier to move around quickly.

Keep your eyes peeled and in case you stumble on a shady selling ad offering such a model do take action and report it. Don’t forget that some of the bikes might not be offered as whole, and could be sold for parts, so take that into account too.

If you have some information regarding the matter, please contact Leicestershire police on 101, asking for Leicestershire Police and use crime number 1600-0339-8992. You can also email simon.at.osetbikes.co.uk.

This heist only proves that motorcycle theft is thriving in the UK, and we should not let this become a major problem. These scums have no regrets in grabbing a bike during daylight from your front door, and they should be taught a lesson.

In the meantime, don’t forget to make your beloved machine as hard to steal as possible. This means you should always lock the steering and clamp a disklock to one of the wheels (two would be better) even if you leave it parked for an hour or less while you’re shopping.

An alarm would be even better to have and so is a thick chain with which you could anchor your bike to something solid if it has to sit parked for a while. And you can top that with an unbranded cover, so thieves won’t know what kind of motorcycle you have.
