In Germany, the BMW tuning scene is more fierce than ever. Apart from the already established tuners such as Alpina, AC Schnitzer, Hartge, G-Power and Manhart you also get a plethora of other choices. As it turns out, everyone loves tuning Bimmers.
Well, that’s all fine with us. The more, the merrier, as competition will always bring service quality up and prices down. But could you really trust all of these people with your hard earned money? We think you can. Well, maybe not all of them.
The guys from Versus Performance have been around for quite a while now and, despite not being as famous as all the other companies we listed above, they do a great job at tuning BMWs.
Their latest prototype is based on the M235i Coupe and it’s a brute. The N55HP 3-liter turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine was taken from 326 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque up to 408 HP and 590 Nm (435 lb-ft) of torque proving, once again, that there’s still plenty of room left for added performance.
As you can blatantly see, that’s not all that was changed, though. On the outside, the M235i received a carbon fiber front spoiler and a rear diffuser made of the same material, new exhaust tips, BBS CH-R Motorsport 19” wheels, carbon fiber mirror caps and a trunk spoiler.
We also noticed that the stock car is a bit unsure on its feet on the stock suspension. Therefore, Versus Performance decided to give it a new KW Clubsport kit to take care of that pesky issue.
In the end, we’re left with a drastically improve M Performance Automobile that could very well preface the upcoming M2. It’s also looking rather good, don’t you think?
