The sudden acceleration problems are not over yet, continuing with another massive recall in Saudi Arabia this time.
A couple of days ago, the Saudi Arabian government announced the recall of more than 400,000 Toyota vehicles regarding unintended acceleration problems.
The ministry was short on details, but it seems that the recall will involve 10 Toyota models manufactured between 2005 and 2010. The vehicles will receive a brake override system that will reduce the unintended acceleration risk. Owners will probably be notified and receive more details via first class mail.
A US court found in October that Toyota is now to blame for the fatal crash involving claims of unintended acceleration. The company didn’t accept any blame but agreed to compensate owners who said the value of around 16.3 million vehicles took a hit from dozens of accidents allegedly caused by Toyota vehicles speeding uncontrollably in 2009.
