4 Bikers Arrested for the "Burnout Proposal"

Hector Martinez and his girlfriendHector testing the proposal smoke4 Bikers Arrested for the "Burnout Proposal"
Remember the awesome biker parade which caused a short traffic jam while a rider proposed to his soon-to-be-wife girlfriend? Well, that was an extremely cool proposal, but some of those who staged it have been arrested and are under investigation.
4 riders, including the future groom, have been arrested in relation to the "Unity Ride" parade during which 250 bikes stopped in the middle of a motorway for a couple of minutes so that Hector Martinez of Covina, California could propose to his girlfriend.

While the footage of the happening clearly shows that no major discomfort was caused for the rest of the road users, some police officers in California did not take this lightly. The 4 were arrested for ‘investigation of misdemeanour public nuisance’ and ‘participating in an unlawful assembly’, with 24-years-old Hector Martinez also under investigation of ‘exhibition of speed’.

We believe that's a bit too harsh; they could have made it with a fine or so, and there was really no need for taking things as serious as Sgt. Kurt Stormes of the California Highway Patrol did: “They made a spectacle of it [...] It’s a slap in the face of law enforcement, in general.”

Lol, of course they made a spectacle out of it, officer: THAT was the very purpose of the whole deal, not mocking police or other road users!

Oh, and by the way, the bride-to-be accepted the proposal, but she was of no interest for the police investigations.
