This particular YouTube channel is known mainly for publishing Megane RS Nurburgring tourist videos. But due to unforeseen circumstances (crashes), they've got a bunch of SEAT Leon Cupras now.
It's Monday, so we thought there's no need to take things quite so seriously yet. Three buddies racing their hot hatchbacks is just the kind of relaxation we need.
You're not going to see the perfect racing lines here. Nor are you going to witness blistering Bridge to Gantry laps, since traffic is heavy.
However, these Megane drivers are fully committed to not seeing anybody's taillights for too long. They overtake BMWs, Volkswagens, Renaults and a couple of Porsches. But the reality is none of the cars we see is a match for the Leon Cupra anyway.
As you can see from the screenshot at the banked carousel, these guys aren't taking things seriously. One of them even has the window down, which can't be pleasant at track speeds.
The 5F generation of the Leon Cupra was launched in March of 2014. Exactly one year after that, the ST Cupra wagon version was released, and briefly held the Nurburgring FWD lap record, outpacing even the RS6. In November of 2015, the entire lineup was updated with the arrival of the Cupra 290 and a few track-spec goodies.
Right now, there is a total of 14 variants of the Leon Cupra 5F, ranging in price from €31,620 (Leon SC 2.0 TSI Start&Stop to €36,620 (Leon ST 2.0 TSI Start&Stop DSG, 290 PS). That's pretty decent value.
Variety is the Leon's way of dealing with its main rivals, which are the Megane RS and the Honda Civic Type R, currently holding the Nurburgring FWD lap record.
We can't be sure which versions are in the video, but the dark silver one is an SC with a roll cage, while the camera car definitely has DSG.
