The four young women and eight men working on the Wolfsburg GTI have updated the look as well. Spoilers, light alloy wheels with red pinstriping and a special decal add to the charisma. This last element shows the outline of eight landmarks from the region, including Schloss Wolfsburg, Planetarium, the Car Towers at Autostadt, Phaeno, Autostadt Customer Center, Volkswagen Arena.
After seeing the inside, many GTI owners will probably feel a bit inspired. The normal seats were swapped out for buckets from the Golf R which were then upholstered in black and red leather with accents of that trademark tartan cloth. The gear knob, meanwhile, has been changed from the usual rounded DSG look to a golf ball, like on the manual GTI. Lots of red accents (too many, actually) tie the whole thing together as well, like the three stripes on an Adidas sneaker.
