Lamborghini is about to make its self another 50th anniversary present, in the from of the Grande Giro rally. The event, which is set to kick off place tomorrow, May 8th, will see 350 Raging Bulls drive across Italy.
The gathering of Lamborghinis will depart from Milan and drive 750 miles (1,200 km) to the company’s home town, Sant’Agata Bolognese, where they will arrive on May 11. Along the way, the rally will pass through Lombardia, Toscana, Lazio, Umbria and Emilia Romagna, stopping over in Forte dei Marmi, Grosseto, Roma, San Giustino Valdarno and Bologna.
The supercars will form a 190,000 hp convoy that will occupy a distance of 2.8 miles (4.5 km). We’ll be treated with all sorts of Lamborghini models, from the 350 GT, the company’s first baby, to the Aventador LP 720-4 50th Anniversario. Concepts and small-volume editions will also be there, so we could expect to see the Veneno too.
Under Audi’s wing, Lamborghini is flying at level that was hard to imagine in the past. We’re not too far away from seeing the next fruit of this passion, the Gallardo’s successor, which should appear in one year from now, at least in a concept form.
