Bill Warner is the first and only rider to ride past the 300 mph (482 km/h) and he has just acquired the rights to the Houston Half Mile Shootout.
Warner's company, National Mile Racing (NMR) plans several improvements to this land speed competition whose inaugural round will take place on October 19-20 at Houston's Elligton Airport.

Owner of the Wild Brothers Motorsport, Warner know a lot on what these competitions are about and we expect great things from him. As far as Warner declared now, he plans to introduce two new mile-long races in the October event.

The new NMR-administered event is open for both motorcycles and cars and registration will be open August 18 and ends with the 150th confirmed entry. No figures on how many bikes or cars entries are allowed have been made official.

Local high-performance experts Hennessey performance will continue o sponsor the Houston Mile events and announced they are signing a long-term sponsorship agreement with NMR.
