3 Cases of Heineken Beer in a Dutch Ferrari 599

Unlike most supercars and even some sportscars (* cough * Porsche Boxster * cough *) that cost less than $100,000, the Ferrari 599 can take a full load of luggage and can even carry a golf bag. They designed it that way, probably knowing full well that some people are going to put crazy things in the back. No, we're not talking about a chicken costume for the Gumball 3000, though it's probably been done. Instead, let us draw your attention to the content of this lovely red machine.

That's right! Three full cases of beer bottles fit neatly into the trunk of a Ferrari 599 on Netherlands plates. That's 36 bottles of 5% alcohol, spring water and clever viral internet publicity, plus product placement. If you want to be all volumetric about it, it's 13 liters of man fuel, 27.5 US pints/ 3.43 US gallons. Measured in friends, that is about 7 amigos' worth of drinking, 9 or 10 if half of them are girls.

You've got to love this guy for owning a Ferrari and still knowing how to party. But if you've got a supercar and you want to throw a birthday bash, can't you at least afford some more expensive brew? Heineken might be the national beverage of the Netherlands and, according to them, the best beer in the world. But really… it's not.

Looking at the Ferrari trunk, we noticed there's even room left over for one of those overpriced bespoke leather handbags. Which makes you wonder: if you're going to buy beer in a Ferrari, shouldn't you have ordered special leather-wrapped beer cases to match the interior?
