2JZ Powered BMW E36 M3 Battles Ferrari 458 Italia

If you're a BMW enthusiast, reading our blog, you certainly heard of BMW's S engines. Those are the ones fitted on M cars, the engines that people around the world love and respect.

However, other manufacturers have legendary engines too. For example, Toyota's Supra (and other models) was powered by an engine that made history: the 2JZ. In the Supra, the 2JZ had a capacity of 3 liters, 327 HP and 431 Nm (318 lb-ft) of torque due to two turbochargers.

That wasn't where the Supra excelled though. The 2JZ engine turned into legend due to its heavily modified versions. Tuners around the world managed to get even over 1000 HP out of the 3-liter unit and that isn't to be overlooked.

This BMW E36 owner wanted to fit his car with this legendary engine to see what happens. After carefully tuning it and whilst using E85 fuel, the car reached 550 WHP, enough to take down a supercar like the Ferrari 458 Italia.

Said and done. The M3 headed to the local highways and started racing. The 458 was defeated every time, no matter if they started out at 40 mph or 60 mph. At one point, a daring Mustang tried to show the Bimmer 'how it's done' but ended up failing miserably too. Check out the video below to see for yourself.
