$2.8 Million Lamborghini Aventador J One-Off Spotted in Marbella, Spain

Yesterday, we showed you a few cases of supercar holiday season spottings, with the list being led by a Matte Yellow LaFerrari. We're back at it, but this time, it all has to do with a Lamborghini goodie.

To be more precise, we're dealing with the Aventador J and that extra letter signifies this is a one-off. The all-open Raging Bull was spotted enjoying the Spanish sun (just like yesterday's LaF), having shown up in Marbella - lens tip to LydiaGumball for the pic.

Back at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, which marked the debut of the spiced-up Aventador, the supercar found a loving home, with the unnamed owner bringing the automaker a hefty $2.8 million. So we might be looking at that owner enjoying his investment with the help of the scenic Marbella landscape - it's impossible to miss the splendid manner in which the strong sun makes the specific shade of red covering the machine stand out.

Lamborghini put everything on uber-fast-forward when it came up with the Aventador J

The Aventador J has quite a story, as this is a project that was put together in a staggering six weeks. You know, the time it usually takes to choose the wheel color for a supercar.

It all started back in January 2012, when Stephan Winkelmann, who was helming the company at the time, decided Lamborghini's Geneva booth needs a crown jewel - Winkelmann has remained inside the Volkswagen Group and now leads Audi's Quattro GmbH.

The result not only gifted us with a Lambo halo car that doesn't follow the questionable aesthetics trend dominating the company's recent specials, but also proved how far Lamborghini has evolved regarding production matters.

We'll remind you the big J is a street-legal machine, having been homologated in its home country - if only we could see its current plate...
